Most pro monitors are either too big, too expensive, or both! You could fit five (5) or seven (7) Chase Home Theater PRO-10 High Efficiency Monitors into your home theater without having to knock out a wall, refinance the house to afford them, or find a new wife to accept them!
The PRO-10s reproduce all types of music and deliver clear movie dialogue with exceptional accuracy. Our front-vented, high efficiency, two-way monitors use a 1” compression driver delivering frequencies above 1600 Hz through a controlled dispersion waveguide. We added a 10” long-throw woofer to handle the bandwidth from 72 Hz to 2000 Hz.
The response of the PRO-10s is optimized for use of the THX-recommended crossover standard of 80 Hz with a quality subwoofer handling bass duties below 80 Hz. Feed these monitors 100 watts from a quality receiver and they will deliver 117 dB outdoors at one meter ground plane, PER speaker, with no compression across the bandwidth of 72 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The level of dynamics the PRO-10 High Efficiency Monitors can deliver is outstanding. Dolby reference levels call for each speaker to be able to deliver 105 dB at the listening position and the PRO-10s can deliver this with room to spare. Power handling is 150 Watts RMS and 300 Watts peak.
What was the intent of this design? Chase HT wanted to create a dynamic, accurate, high efficiency, pro style monitor which could be used to create a superb system. The PRO-10s are designed to deliver clear, neutral mids and highs and that design also includes a need to add a subwoofer to deliver the lows. A system comprising five PRO-10s and your choice of our CraigSUB series 18” subwoofers makes for an impressive audio experience at a price that makes you wonder how we accomplish that feat for so little!
Unlike the performance of most horn-loaded speakers, the PRO-10 High Efficiency Monitors have an exceptionally smooth sound and will not do an “in your face” unless that is part of a soundtrack or CD. The PRO-10s reproduce all types of music and deliver clear movie dialogue with exceptional accuracy. They are crisp, clear, detailed, smooth and non-fatiguing - a compelling combination.
The PRO-10 High Efficiency Monitor is wall or stand mountable. With the front vent design, PRO-10s will also work well inside of cabinetry or on shelves. The 90 x 90 degree controlled dispersion of the tweeter waveguide means the PRO-10 can be used in either a vertical or horizontal position.
The 2012 PRO-10's new cabinet has a thicker, much stronger, slightly textured, matte black finish. The texturing will be less likely to show fingerprints than a smooth finish.
We use USA built parts whenever possible and all final assembly is done in our Pennsylvania Factory.
