The VS-18.1 is our entrance into the high output, vented subwoofer arena. Our challenge with the VS-18.1 was to make a subwoofer package with the highest output from 20-80 Hz that one can buy for less than $1500.
Did we succeed? We sent the VS-18.1 to be tested by an independent lab, and the results were spectacular: From 20 to 80 Hz, a VS-18.1 will average 124 dB at one meter outdoors according the the CEA 2010 measurement standard. Even at 20 Hz, a VS-18.1 will deliver 115 dB using the CEA 2010 standard.
These high output numbers were achieved using a Dayton SA-1000 amplifier. If there is a single higher output subwoofer for the $1240 delivered (w/a Dayton amp) to your door price, we are not aware of it.
That is correct, a complete subwoofer package that delivers an average of 124 dB from 20 to 80 Hz can be delivered to YOUR door for $1240.
The numbers get even better when adding a second one of our custom built 40x22x22 inch enclosures. The investment is $2040 delivered to your door. The performance from two of these enclosures along with the Dayton amp is unheard of for under $2100 of your hard earned money:
